In line with the WHO's mission, we established a Society called Society for Psychiatric Update & Research (SPUR) in in the year 2002. Society for Psychiatric Update & Research is a unit of Shanti Nursing Home, located in the same premises. Shanti Nursing Home, the parent institute of Society for Psychiatric Update and Research is a hospital established in 1979. It is working with the aim to provide all kinds of psychiatric treatments and therapies under one roof. Apart from clinical services like OPD, IPD, 24 x 7 Psychiatric Emergency, we have developed separate departments like Psychometric Testing, Counselling, Career Guidance, Psychotherapy, Rehabilitation, De-addiction, Memory and Old Age Clinic, Child and Adolescent Clinic, Sports Psychology etc. catering to the traditional and modern-day treatment needs. We have well qualified and trained staff working in each of these departments. Recently hospital has received NABH accreditation (First in Marathwada) for psychiatric services available with us.
